I will tell about so sad Korean movie.

Named Wa Nang So ri. American named old partner.

An old man works with a female cow over 30 years.

Usually cow life is 20years.

But this cow live 40years. Always work on farm.

Old partner, this movie is about the story about the old man and the 40years-old cow.

This movie is a documentary of Chung-ryul Lee director.

The legs of both man and cow are not very strong but he climbs the mountain with holding the

bridle everyday and comes back with huge firewoods.

The story describing the relationship between the old man and the cow, give all the

audience tranquil impression.

It impresses more especially on the people who used to live in the rural.

The old man and the cow lean on each other making us very touched.

I think it is the wonderful story.

Even tough being made on a small amount of money,this movie is just as impressive as the big

scaled one.

Many people take classes through the internet. I have a friend that wanted to study at a school, but he couldn’t because he worked, and his schedule did not permit him to go to school. Now he is studying, but he doesn’t study at a school, he studies at his house through the internet. He doesn’t do homework everyday only on the weekend. He takes test and writes compositions at the school every Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The teachers correct the work, and return it, also they speak with him, and explain the exercise of the next week. He is very happy, because he can work, and study. I think that distance learning is helpful and helps many people that want to learn.

The lies in the Media

Is the meaning of media lies?!
Is there any control for the media?!

Black Drink

I like coffee. It is the drink that you find everywhere but with different ways to make it. In Saudi Arabia for example we make it brown and with some special flavors like saffron and cardamom, in Italy they make it with milk and here in America they drink it black and sometimes with milk. I like all kinds of coffee but I don't like it very sweet. The thing I like best in coffee is the smell for me if I just smell the coffee I feel refreshed.

SANTA ANA, EL SALVADOR

I am from El Salvador, I live in Santa Ana, is the second city of country. It is the El Salvador west, in the area cultivate the coffee. The native name is SIHUATEHUACAN in Nauhuat, in english is ”Biutiful women Place”. The name changed but in July 26, 1569 the Guatemala Bishop Bernardino Villalpando came the pastoral visit, and celebrated the Mass in the central church, this day changing the name to Santa Ana la Grande (Saint Ann, the catholic tradition is the name the Holy Mary). In the 1913 pope Pio XI gave the title of Diocese.
The city has the title La heroica, but in 1898, a men group, they stop a invasion from Guatemala.
The downtown is older, have Litter Street, in the city center have three monuments, divide for for one park.
The first is the Theatre, is very nice, and was building in the 1910 year. The money for construction came from a special tax, all coffee cultivated pay 0.13 cents for each coffee bag, the community didn´t use money from the government.

The second is the Mayor Building, is material is the mud bricks, the second floor was formed for wood. the construction staring in 1871, after 8 years was use for Army Base.
The Cathedral of Santa Ana, is a monumental building, the front is Barroco style, is color white, did not panting, the texture was the cal, hone, and other material. The Cathedral inside is Gotico style.
Santa Ana has many places for visit, Coatepeque lake, is to 20 minutes, Cerro Verde, 1 hour, have a nice vista point.

The Arqueology has Tazumal, it is Maya tample in this area. The people is conserve, friendly.

In the movie "Mama Mia" Donna's daughter is Sophia, who has just one wish to make her wedding perfect:to have her father walk her down the aisle.Sophia found her Mom's diary,when she was younger,and she found three guys(Sam,Harry and Bill),who could be her father.....Now she just wants to find out who he is.....

You can have a perfectly nice time watching this musical. This movie is full energy,and Meril Streep, she is excellent.There is powerful film!!!!!!!!! I love it!

Have you ever been in Mauritius?

When I got married we were on the island (Mauritius). The capital city is Port Louis, and every body speaks English and lots of people speak French.
We rented bicycles and went around the island. The people were very kind. Some people were french and chineese, and most of 70% population was hindu.

The people were very poor and they worked in agriculture. They produced is sugar cane. Mauritius has developed. We were in a Buddhist temple, it was interesting for me. The believers gave food to their own gods. I saw a lot of pagoda, mecset, temple, that is "mix" religion.

On this island Dodo birds used to live. Dodos had been killed, today they are just symbols. I bought some T-shirts with this symbols on it.
The local folklore music name is: a sega. Men usually play instruments music and women dance. This dance is very nice. They asked me for a dance…

The weather was wonderful! Better than Monterey … The sun was shunning and every day was raining but not for a long time. A saw giant turtles and bats, they were eating fruits. They live in the Back River Reservatum. Since 1968, Mauritius is independent.

Holiday- A New Year's Day

My favorite holiday is New Year's Day. We follow the lunar calendar so this year starts on January 26. In my country, this is one of the most important holidays that people have celebrated for long time.

Personally, I like this holiday because my family gets together. This also means that I can get to meet relatives who live far away. Moreover, there are many special activities we do on the New Year's Day. This day people wear beautiful Korean traditional costumes. When children wear Korean costumes and then perform a New Year's bow their parents and realtives give them the New Year's gift money.

Also, we prepare many different kinds of traditional foods to have a feast with families and friends. Especially, I enjoy eating rice-cake soup "Tukguk"(prepared with slices of rice cake, beef, eggs, etc.) Tukguk means a rite of passage as we grow a year older. After that, we play some games that Korean people used to play long time ago.

Relax and enjoy your weekend.

What do you often do on your free time? or what do you usually do on the weekend?. I think this is an exciting question for each of us as a student.
We have to study from Monday to Friday, so we try to invest all the time on learning English. That is why we should reserve sometime to relax or to enjoy our weekend.
Relaxing is one of an important part of human's life. The more we work hard, the more we should reserve sometime to relax. According to the psychology experts, nowadays there are a lot of people becoming stress, because they do not have enough time to relax.
We have many different type of ways to relax. For example: listen to music, go eating out, go the watch some films, go to the gym, or go jogging...ect.
When we have enough time to relax, we not only push out of our mind all depresses which we had from our works, but also creating the new ideas for our works or studies. it is truly a positive idea need to be known.
For me, I just want to relax by listening to some of my favorite music or surf the internet or chatting with my friends.
I really want to go out but I can not because I do not have a car. Why do not I take a bus to go out?. Because I tried to take a bus to go out before, but the price of the bus ticket was not cheap. I had to pay 70 usd for a round trip from Monterey to San Jose. Finally, I decided not to take a bus to go out. Instead of going out I stay at home to watch TV or hang out with my host family as practicing my speaking skill with them.
Each person has their own hobbies to relax or enjoy. My advices to you are to try to create some types of relaxing for yourself, in case you do not want to be in trouble with stress problems. Have nice weekend and enjoy your relaxing. How do you think about this?.

Well, this time I want to talk about music, this is a very important part in my life.

Now my major is interior design, so it proves that I have to learn how to paint before I enter my college. Actually, I planed to choose the major what about music at the first. But some reasons let me gave up the plan.

If I choose the music at that time, may be I am a music teacher now or a singer, who know it ……He he ~~~

However, the music still help me a lot, sometimes when I feel upset, I will listen music, When I am angry I will listen music, When I am thinking I also will listen music, definitely ,there is another important way is that the music could help me to improve my English listening and pronunciation.

So, I could get the happiness, peaceful emotions, creative ideas and
perfect English practice. I want to ask myself that how could I live without the music.

A little window

I am from Wisconsin. Do you know where that is? It is in the middle of the United States. Wisconsin is called the Dairyland State because we are known for making a lot of dairy products. There are a lot of farms in the middle of the state that make milk and cheese. But, I don't live on a farm. My family lives in a city an hour north of Chicago. We live in southeastern Wisconsin, right near Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan is one of five Great Lakes. People in Wisconsin are very nice. But, there are different lifestyles of people in Wisconsin. I live in an urban area, but some people live in rural areas.

The lake is so big that you can't see the other side - it's kind of like looking at the ocean. The last time I went home to Wisconsin was in December and January. I was lucky because I got about two and a half feet of snow. It was very beautiful, but it was also very cold, and I did not go outside a lot.

After living in California for two years, it is difficult to go back to the cold weather because I am not accustomed to it. Do you like the cold weather?

9 Months is More Then 25 years

For 25 years all my friends from my country Saudi Arabia or from Arabic country. I have friends from different cities in Saudi Arabia. I have friends from school, university etc…
In that time I feel I have friends form every where but since I came to USA I have friends in 9 months more than what I have in 25 years. I have friends from USA, Japan, China, Korea, Mexico, Hungary, Russia, El Salvador, and Brazil. In 9 months I learned different cultures. In 9 months I heard different languages more than what I heard in my life in 9 months made believe more that the same level that we are different we are same. Same things make us laughed and same things make us cried.

when want do some advertising abut our project like we do some expiation in another country we use there logo in our board and also when we do any advertising in TV or magazine, and if we need print any brochure or grating card,

we do it with hem they are more expansive than another but we can support them to help poor people in the world rely I like it.

My interesting is going to Korea in March. I miss my family, friends and a lot of my fans.
I will meet other country friend in Korea. My friend wants to meet me and want to travel in Korea. Actually now I am making a Korea travel plan. It is very difficult. I did not know Seoul has many interesting places for foreigner. Next posting my topic will interesting places in Seoul for foreigner. I hope my friend likes it.

Galapagos penguin.

This is about Galapagos birds. The Galapagos penguin is found on Femandina,Isabela island and is an endemic species. This is the only here because of cold currents of water that flow around Fernandina and Isabela islands. The Galapagos penguin is flightless, like the rest of the penguin species,and is only 35 centimetres tall,which makes it one of the smallest penguins in the world.

My speaking partner

I met my speaking partner last week. Kate, my teacher, introduced me by email. Her name is Tomiko. Whose mother is a Japanese. At first, I thought she was a student, but it was wrong. She works as the army! And she is mother who has two children. Her talks relaxed me though I was wound up before a meeting with her.

THE PEOBLE NEED BELIEVE

The Faith is present in the history of humans’ lives. All cultures had faith in the Divine Being. The modern society declares It isn't necessary to have faith to encounter happiness. The society said: We don't believe in one God, and don’t need the religions for the happiness and they search parallel ways to find the happiness. Today, if we watch the society search in the scientology, or Yoga, or many others theories, there aren’t necessary bad theories, but help the person’s encounter the peaces in them mind.
The final of way the Human people believe, the question is: what do you believe?

How to create a happy life for our own life.
Nowadays, people are facing with many pressures especially when they are living in a bad economy.Two days ago, I read an article on the internet about a Vietnamese-American family who is living in California. The wife committed suicide. They lost their jobs and in addition her eldest son is a mentaly ill boy, another son is in a secondary school. She did not have money to pay for all the bills, that is why she killed herself.After reading that article, I thought a lot about my life as well as others lives. Why do some people look for a death instead of looking for another positive way to create happiness for their life???.I am obsessed with that situation and many quetions came to my mind.For me, when I am in a difficult situation, I often go somewhere where I can be alone. At that time I am not worried about anything. I can live with myself and I pray to Whom I put my belief in. After that, I can look for a good way or a good solution to solve my problems. Or I came to see someone that I know, like my professors or elderly people or my friends to share with them what I am worrying about. With my experiences I could leave out a lot of bad thoughts out of mind. I could feel better.Do you agree with me?. What should you do when you are in a bad situation?. Grant Writing

This weekend I took a class called Grant Writing. This was an elective class that I took for school credit. I got one credit!! This class taught me how to write grants so that maybe I can get money for an educational organization in Salinas. The organization helps women in the Salinas community learn how to speak EnglishMost of these women speak Spanish and they have a hard time finding work in the United States because they can not speak English. Now, these women are working in the fields of Salinasbut after this program they will be able to find office work or other higher paying jobs.

This class was very interesting because I learned a lot about how to write a grant, the information I have to include in a grant and how to find an organization who wants to give me a grant. I learned how to write a letter of intent, a needs statement, goals & objectives, and a budget. There were a lot of students in this class, approximately 30 students from different degree programs at MIIS. Usually I only take classes with other TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) students, but this course had T&I (Translation & Interpretation) students, IPS (International Policy Studies) students, MBA (Master’s of Business Administration) students, and TESOL students. It was fun to hear all my classmates’ opinions and ideas because everyone was from such a different background that they all had new and exciting ideas. The only bad part of this class was that it was also very long.I had class Friday night from 6-9pm, Saturday from 9am-4pm, and Sunday from 9am-1pm. I was very tired at the end of the workshop, but I think that I learned a lot.

This film show a mere beginner's experience to complete a lot of hard missions. Sometimes she cried when her boss did not acknowledgde her efforts. Even if she made a little mistakes, she can not avoid another more difficult task. She puts up with the eccentric and humiliating requests of her boss because, she is told, if she lasts a year in the position she will get her pick of other jobs, perhaps even the journalistic position she truly craves. I firmly belive that a large number of people sympathize with this situation.

In addition, there are a great of side attractions, we can enjoy beautiful and gay costume that a million girls would wear.

New Apartment

In this posting, I want to talk about out apartment which I live in China.(I live with my parents, actually I miss them now. ^-^ )

Before I arrived here my parents and me had just moved in our new apartment.(A great number of Chinese are live in apartment, because, I think you know that we have a large number of population .) I love our apartment, because I am the one of the designers who designed the room.Of couse,this is my specialty... Exactly, my room is my favor. It has all the things what I like, the pink bed, white glass door, the pink toilet table , the white soft tatami,etc. Whatever I can't describe the feeling, it just the stuff what I want. But for all the stuff, I like my big clothes chest best, (it is big enough to put all my clouthes in there and I could walk in that room to choose which cloth I want to wear everyday.)

But,I just live in there about 1 mounth, such a pity ~~~~~~~

Adriel Damian is one my good friend in The United States, He is a great person. We were to school together and we talked after classes. I hope that we are going to be friends for a long time.
Adriel is 20 years old. He will be 21 on December 4, he was born in Peru. He is about 5 feet, maybe. His eyes are brown and his face is round. His hair is straight and black. He smiles a lot and usually has a friendly look on his face. He isn’t fat, he is thin, very thin. He likes to wear jeans and T-shirts. He likes the cars, his car is wonderful, he loves his car, This car is how his girlfriend jajajaja. Adriel has a pleasant personality. He is fairly outgoing, but he is also very sensitive. His family is very small, his father, his mother and his brother, he worries about his brother younger everyday, He works hard in a restaurant and he studies at Delta College English, he is very intelligent boy. Adriel’s future plans are not very definitive. First, he is going to improve his English. Then, he is going to study dentistry. He does not married, he wants to live alone, until the 30 years, maybe. He has a girlfriend and he likes her very much. I want him to be happy. He is a good person and a true friend.

The role of all the religion leaders of the world, how do they help to develop the spiritual life for all the people?For me, religious is an important part in one’s spiritual life. I do not know Who do people believe in, but I am sure each of us has belief for our own life.Besides the material life, we also have spiritual life. We pray to the One who we put our faith in when we are in very hard or bad situation. I am sure that nobody can not reject the role of religious in the world.I think you will agree with me about the existent of the religious, but how is the role of all the religious leaders?It is very important to have a leader to lead all the believers. They teach us all the best things base on all the doctrines. They help people to live with the moral life, etc......They try to help bringing all the best teachings to help building a better society.It is very exciting to talk about this. Do you have any feedbacks to share with me???I think the role of religion leaders are not only helping to maintain the moral life, but also helping the world peace. For example: the religion leaders tried to urge Bush to stop the war in Iraq or the nuclear weapon between USA and Iran or North Korean. Or helping to say in the name of the poor people who have no any voice in the world.I am not sure 100% of human beings believe in spirial life and the existent of the religion, but at least over 90% of human beings believe in spiritual life and the existent of the religion.The role of religion is very important for everyone, especially when they are in very bad situation. I used to witness some of my friends, when they had a terrible sickness, when the doctors said they could not cure them. They were hopeless, so they came to pray to the One they put their belief no matter God or Budha......

Movie and sport

My favorite movie is Gone with the Wind. Because the heroine is beautiful and unyielding and strong. This movie was released in 1939.The movie tells about the Civil war. The heroine who called Scarlet lives South America. This story tells us that the noble society of Southern America disappeared. Through Southern America, her life is described. Her character strikes a chord with women around the world.


The current sport in Japan is ice skating. Japanese skaters have great skill gradually. In my opinion, if they do not make mistakes, they will get high score. My favorite ice skater is Mao Asada who is 18 years old. She works hard to attain in a goal. She thinks continual efforts are a necessity to success. I like her thought.

Well, here is my first posting. ~~~~I want to talk about travel. I don't know how many people interest in travel, but I like it. ^-^~~

Actually I didn’t always travel, because I don’t have much time to do this. And now, I live in Monterey where located in California. During this time that I have been in here about 3 weeks, I have gone to Carmel, I like that place, the stores, and the ice-cream ^=^ ~~~~~

I plan to stay in US about 2 or 3 years to finish my Master Degree, so I think I could have more time to enjoy this country. But I don't know where are good for people to travel, so dear teachers and classmate , could you please give me some good sujest~~~

Sample blog post about health

My topic of interest is health. I have been in school at the Monterey Institute for a year and a half. I think that it is very important to stay healthy while you are in school and under stress. The ways that I keep healthy are by exercising and eating well. I like to exercise at the Monterey Sports Center and go to spin classes and pilates classes. The classes at the Monterey Sports Center help me relax and stay focused on my studies. If I don't exercise, I start to feel more sleepy and less motivated to do my work.

Another thing that I think is important to stay healthy is eating well. I like to eat a lot of different foods, from fruits and vegetables to meat and pasta. My favorite foods are potatoes and watermelon. Eating a lot of vegetables and fruits also help me to stay focused on my school work and feel healthy.

Something that I think is unhealthy is trying crazy popular diets. In the U.S., I think that a lot of people try "crash diets" that are fast ways to lose weight. The diets often do not help people to develop healthy eating habits. They do not help people to exercise regularly. Then, people end up losing weight quickly and gain it again in a couple of months.
