
I am from El Salvador, I live in Santa Ana, is the second city of country. It is the El Salvador west, in the area cultivate the coffee. The native name is SIHUATEHUACAN in Nauhuat, in english is ”Biutiful women Place”. The name changed but in July 26, 1569 the Guatemala Bishop Bernardino Villalpando came the pastoral visit, and celebrated the Mass in the central church, this day changing the name to Santa Ana la Grande (Saint Ann, the catholic tradition is the name the Holy Mary). In the 1913 pope Pio XI gave the title of Diocese.The city has the title La heroica, but in 1898, a men group, they stop a invasion from Guatemala.
The downtown is older, have Litter Street, in the city center have three monuments, divide for fo
r one park. 
The first is the Theatre, is very nice, and was building in the 1910 year. The money for construction came from a special tax, all coffee cultivated pay 0.13 cents for each coffee bag, the community didn´t use money from the government.
The second is the Mayor Building, is material is the mud bricks, the second floor was formed for wood. the construction staring in 1871, after 8 years was use for Army Base.
The Cathedral of Santa Ana, is a monumental building, the front is Barroco style, is color white, did not panting, the texture was the cal, hone, and other material. The Cathedral inside is Gotico style.Santa Ana has many places for visit, Coatepeque lake, is to 20 minutes, Cerro Verde, 1 hour, have a nice
vista point. The Arqueology has Tazumal, it is Maya tample in this area. The people is conserve, friendly.
