Dear friends,
First of all, I would like to thank all of you: Teachers and classmates who are my companions during the time I spent with you in this class and other classes. I love each of you.
By the time we are going to say goodbye to each other, I would like to wish each of you all my best wishes from the bottom of my heart.
I am going to leave this school for Stockton next week. I want to say goodbye to Kyoka who is going to be back Japan. I wish you a safe trip back to your beloved country.
I want to wish all of you well in the future: for your jobs, your life, your ministries, and also your studies.

I have enjoyed co-teaching this class with Kate. Our students have picked so many interesting topics to write about and everyone has worked really hard to make their postings creative and dynamic. Old partner.

I will tell about so sad Korean movie.

Named Wa Nang So ri. American named old partner.

An old man works with a female cow over 30 years.

Usually cow life is 20years.

But this cow live 40years. Always work on farm.

Old partner, this movie is about the story about the old man and the 40years-old cow.

This movie is a documentary of Chung-ryul Lee director.

The legs of both man and cow are not very strong but he climbs the mountain with holding the

bridle everyday and comes back with huge firewoods.

The story describing the relationship between the old man and the cow, give all the

audience tranquil impression.

It impresses more especially on the people who used to live in the rural.

The old man and the cow lean on each other making us very touched.

I think it is the wonderful story.

Even tough being made on a small amount of money,this movie is just as impressive as the big

scaled one.

Many people take classes through the internet. I have a friend that wanted to study at a school, but he couldn’t because he worked, and his schedule did not permit him to go to school. Now he is studying, but he doesn’t study at a school, he studies at his house through the internet. He doesn’t do homework everyday only on the weekend. He takes test and writes compositions at the school every Saturday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The teachers correct the work, and return it, also they speak with him, and explain the exercise of the next week. He is very happy, because he can work, and study. I think that distance learning is helpful and helps many people that want to learn.

The lies in the Media

Is the meaning of media lies?!
Is there any control for the media?!
Is the lies so easy now?!
Will our children be liars?In the future the media will be for adults?!
In the future everybody will search for the truth …. And we can’t find it?!
Is money the first goal of the media?!

Black Drink

I like coffee. It is the drink that you find everywhere but with different ways to make it. In Saudi Arabia for example we make it brown and with some special flavors like saffron and cardamom, in Italy they make it with milk and here in America they drink it black and sometimes with milk. I like all kinds of coffee but I don't like it very sweet. The thing I like best in coffee is the smell for me if I just smell the coffee I feel refreshed.

SANTA ANA, EL SALVADOR

I am from El Salvador, I live in Santa Ana, is the second city of country. It is the El Salvador west, in the area cultivate the coffee. The native name is SIHUATEHUACAN in Nauhuat, in english is ”Biutiful women Place”. The name changed but in July 26, 1569 the Guatemala Bishop Bernardino Villalpando came the pastoral visit, and celebrated the Mass in the central church, this day changing the name to Santa Ana la Grande (Saint Ann, the catholic tradition is the name the Holy Mary). In the 1913 pope Pio XI gave the title of Diocese.
The city has the title La heroica, but in 1898, a men group, they stop a invasion from Guatemala.
The downtown is older, have Litter Street, in the city center have three monuments, divide for for one park.
The first is the Theatre, is very nice, and was building in the 1910 year. The money for construction came from a special tax, all coffee cultivated pay 0.13 cents for each coffee bag, the community didn´t use money from the government.

The second is the Mayor Building, is material is the mud bricks, the second floor was formed for wood. the construction staring in 1871, after 8 years was use for Army Base.
The Cathedral of Santa Ana, is a monumental building, the front is Barroco style, is color white, did not panting, the texture was the cal, hone, and other material. The Cathedral inside is Gotico style.
Santa Ana has many places for visit, Coatepeque lake, is to 20 minutes, Cerro Verde, 1 hour, have a nice vista point.

The Arqueology has Tazumal, it is Maya tample in this area. The people is conserve, friendly.

In the movie "Mama Mia" Donna's daughter is Sophia, who has just one wish to make her wedding perfect:to have her father walk her down the aisle.Sophia found her Mom's diary,when she was younger,and she found three guys(Sam,Harry and Bill),who could be her father.....Now she just wants to find out who he is.....

You can have a perfectly nice time watching this musical. This movie is full energy,and Meril Streep, she is excellent.There is powerful film!!!!!!!!! I love it!

Have you ever been in Mauritius?

When I got married we were on the island (Mauritius). The capital city is Port Louis, and every body speaks English and lots of people speak French.
We rented bicycles and went around the island. The people were very kind. Some people were french and chineese, and most of 70% population was hindu.

The people were very poor and they worked in agriculture. They produced is sugar cane. Mauritius has developed. We were in a Buddhist temple, it was interesting for me. The believers gave food to their own gods. I saw a lot of pagoda, mecset, temple, that is "mix" religion.

On this island Dodo birds used to live. Dodos had been killed, today they are just symbols. I bought some T-shirts with this symbols on it.
The local folklore music name is: a sega. Men usually play instruments music and women dance. This dance is very nice. They asked me for a dance…

The weather was wonderful! Better than Monterey … The sun was shunning and every day was raining but not for a long time. A saw giant turtles and bats, they were eating fruits. They live in the Back River Reservatum. Since 1968, Mauritius is independent.

Holiday- A New Year's Day

My favorite holiday is New Year's Day. We follow the lunar calendar so this year starts on January 26. In my country, this is one of the most important holidays that people have celebrated for long time.

Personally, I like this holiday because my family gets together. This also means that I can get to meet relatives who live far away. Moreover, there are many special activities we do on the New Year's Day. This day people wear beautiful Korean traditional costumes. When children wear Korean costumes and then perform a New Year's bow their parents and realtives give them the New Year's gift money.

Also, we prepare many different kinds of traditional foods to have a feast with families and friends. Especially, I enjoy eating rice-cake soup "Tukguk"(prepared with slices of rice cake, beef, eggs, etc.) Tukguk means a rite of passage as we grow a year older. After that, we play some games that Korean people used to play long time ago.

Relax and enjoy your weekend.

What do you often do on your free time? or what do you usually do on the weekend?. I think this is an exciting question for each of us as a student.
We have to study from Monday to Friday, so we try to invest all the time on learning English. That is why we should reserve sometime to relax or to enjoy our weekend.
Relaxing is one of an important part of human's life. The more we work hard, the more we should reserve sometime to relax. According to the psychology experts, nowadays there are a lot of people becoming stress, because they do not have enough time to relax.
We have many different type of ways to relax. For example: listen to music, go eating out, go the watch some films, go to the gym, or go jogging...ect.
When we have enough time to relax, we not only push out of our mind all depresses which we had from our works, but also creating the new ideas for our works or studies. it is truly a positive idea need to be known.
For me, I just want to relax by listening to some of my favorite music or surf the internet or chatting with my friends.
I really want to go out but I can not because I do not have a car. Why do not I take a bus to go out?. Because I tried to take a bus to go out before, but the price of the bus ticket was not cheap. I had to pay 70 usd for a round trip from Monterey to San Jose. Finally, I decided not to take a bus to go out. Instead of going out I stay at home to watch TV or hang out with my host family as practicing my speaking skill with them.
Each person has their own hobbies to relax or enjoy. My advices to you are to try to create some types of relaxing for yourself, in case you do not want to be in trouble with stress problems. Have nice weekend and enjoy your relaxing. How do you think about this?.

Well, this time I want to talk about music, this is a very important part in my life.

Now my major is interior design, so it proves that I have to learn how to paint before I enter my college. Actually, I planed to choose the major what about music at the first. But some reasons let me gave up the plan.

If I choose the music at that time, may be I am a music teacher now or a singer, who know it ……He he ~~~

However, the music still help me a lot, sometimes when I feel upset, I will listen music, When I am angry I will listen music, When I am thinking I also will listen music, definitely ,there is another important way is that the music could help me to improve my English listening and pronunciation.

So, I could get the happiness, peaceful emotions, creative ideas and
perfect English practice. I want to ask myself that how could I live without the music.

A little window

I am from Wisconsin. Do you know where that is? It is in the middle of the United States. Wisconsin is called the Dairyland State because we are known for making a lot of dairy products. There are a lot of farms in the middle of the state that make milk and cheese. But, I don't live on a farm. My family lives in a city an hour north of Chicago. We live in southeastern Wisconsin, right near Lake Michigan. Lake Michigan is one of five Great Lakes. People in Wisconsin are very nice. But, there are different lifestyles of people in Wisconsin. I live in an urban area, but some people live in rural areas.

The lake is so big that you can't see the other side - it's kind of like looking at the ocean. The last time I went home to Wisconsin was in December and January. I was lucky because I got about two and a half feet of snow. It was very beautiful, but it was also very cold, and I did not go outside a lot.

After living in California for two years, it is difficult to go back to the cold weather because I am not accustomed to it. Do you like the cold weather?

JAZZ

This is my first blog. Untill now I have never have a blog, just read. I am learning how to make blog in Integrated skills class, it is interesting! I can improve reading and writing skills, and communicate with my classmates by blog. I am glad to receive from them. Soon our course is coming to a final session (Graduation on March 20th). If we have to say good bye, we can meet again through our blog. And when I go back to Japan, I want to renewal my blog.
